This Roller Coaster in a Fun Park has a feeling of isolation as if it's been abandoned. The rides are still working but they are precarious at best. The roller coaster is even partially buried in the ground and only a few inhabited cars are left working. I have always been fascinated with the haunted Fun Park and the allure it holds in us. The dual emotion it evokes is sublime; one of both elation and terror. This image seems like an obvious reference to the emotions we were experiencing during the Covid pandemic lockdown. On the one hand, we had time to enjoy our lives with our families, to walk in nature and slow down a little and yet a feeling of absolute fear pervaded. Even in dark times though, humans will find a way to enjoy living and so this Roller Coaster is a celebration.
