Dripping in female power, this piece celebrates the female body as a vehicle of strength and signals its matriarchal origins. The goddess Isis returns to my work as a chest tattoo and gives life to the women swimming below in this monumental and surreal landscape. With the title of this work, I give a nod to Gustave Courbet's, L'Origine du Monde and push the idea further into 2023.
